Hey guys I am new to this forum. I did the entire process for NFO on my own as I'm currently enlisted and I didn't have a career counselor on deployment with me to help out. I Submitted my package for NFO on June 23rd and was informed today by Mr. Paul Celstin that I was not selected. My two questions are: 1. where is everyone seeing the information on who was selected vs not selected or rolled etc? 2. I saw the pdf from this forum but was that made by someone here? I don't see my info in it so I'm trying to figure out if that's generated by the board or by someone in this forum?

The pdf of the board results came from NRC. The excel sheet we the people made. Only active duty can see the results. There is a link I have saved at work. Everyone who was rolled knows they were rolled because we weren’t on the results as well as Paul told us we didn’t make the cut and our packages were being forwarded to the next available board which is 1Nov

@villo0692 @BDavis11 Thanks for the info. doing this by myself and trying to get info is like pulling teeth. Being one of the members who was simply not recommended this time does that mean the package I submitted is automatically rolled into the Nov1 board or do we need to do anything? Also for my own curiosity does anyone know what TAOC and the number mean? and does our placement on the list of not recommended imply anything or is that random?

if you got rejected, you'll have to wait 6 months and reapply, unless, you make a significant change on your package (e.g. retaking the ASTB), that way you can reapply or the next board. TAOC is your recruiting district, given that you are active duty, for you it would be 198, am I right? and I mean if you didn't get selected it could be ASTB scores, GPA...maybe a waiver....who knows...so long you don't get a Do Not Return you can take another shot at it

My recruiter said you have 3 days to accept (not sure about this), then they'll send you some paperwork acknowledging some PRT stuff, and that you haven't gotten any new tattoos or piercings. If your recruiting station is like mine, they will ask you to do a PRT proctored by an active duty member, to make sure you are not going to fuck up at OCS due to being slow and dumb. Maybe you will have some Commissioning Onboarding Program meetings to learn more about many things, and 4-6 weeks (more or less) before OCS you will get your FINSEL and your orders for OCS and idk, a week or couple days before shipping you'll oath in

something around those lines....take it with a grain of salt, your experience might be completely different, or it might be the same...just trying to help a fellow Massachusetts-ian
Well here’s to hoping that 3-day rule isn’t sacrosanct as my recruiter is mia. I did get an email about a mandatory meeting from someone else who I guess is at the recruiting office.

It is normally weeks to respond, however a good recruiter should be in constant communication so he should have a verbal yes then just find the time to do the paperwork.

I also had to figure most of it out on my own so any questions don’t hesitate to hit me up. I will answer it to the best of my abilities. I’m not all knowing but I did learn a lot throughout the process this far. To add on to what @villo0692 said you may also want to change you personal statement as well or have someone look it over for you if you didn’t the first time

A CCC probably would have been no help as they get minimal training on officer programs, factors that can affect selection for aviation are waivers, and ASTB, to a lesser extent GPA.

Did you have a good ASTB score?

Not the greatest. A 45 5/6/5 and an age waiver. A masters with a 3.1 GPA

Thank you for the advice. When I compete the ASTB a second time do I just submit a copy of the results directly via email or do I need to resubmit the entire package?
When I took the ASTB I was several years removed from any math or physics classes and Khan Academy helped me tremendously. As well as https://www.airwarriors.com/communi...st-your-scores-ask-your-questions-here.28348/ I read tons on this thread and it really helped prepare me for the topics and people uploaded their study guides and stuff. Then I would search out similar topics on Khan Academy. I got a pretty good score by doing this but I didn’t have a job at the time and did this fulltime for like 3 weeks.

you would need to redo the entire application, but some aspects of it you could use again.
