Is it science? Were there any events from November to January that created the spike? Like family and friends get togethers, or celebration?

There was a rapid drop in February, that slowed during March, plateaued out and now covid rates are increasing again.

It is now 25,000 more cases a day than 1st October. I saw that they are now worried about a 4th wave taking off.

Events that created the spike? Let’s see, the last spike started in mid October and peaked in mid January. I’m not aware of any significant events associated with that except maybe the season for a seasonal respiratory virus. You’re welcome.

As for cases: if they keep dropping, neat. If not, it’s a temporary blip and considering that a large proportion of the vulnerable population has been vaccinated, I doubt there will be a similar increase in hospitalizations or deaths. Thanks for caring about Texas though, I especially like the super zoomed in graph to try to locate bad news.

If it wasn't thanksgiving, xmas and new year that caused the spike. Then I'm at a loss, as to why. The lockdown crashed the numbers in February. So I wouldn't think seasonal was the main driver.

Yes I did zoom in on a small chart. I'm glad you could see the rise in the 7 day average. It won't change your talking points though.

“Professor Michael Braungart, director at the Hamburg Environmental Institute and co-founder of the world-renowned Cradle to Cradle environmental standard has told Ecotextile Newsthat mask wearers unwittingly run the risk of breathing in carcinogens, allergens and tiny synthetic microfibres by wearing both textile and nonwoven surgical masks for long periods of time.
His recent findings have been backed up by another leading industry textile chemist Dr. Dieter Sedlak, managing director and co-founder of Modern Testing Services Augsburg, Germany in partnership with Modern Testing Services Global, Hong Kong who found elevated concentrations of hazardous fluorocarbons, formaldehyde and other potentially carcinogenic substances on surgical face masks: “I can only say 100 per cent that I have similar concerns to Prof. Braungart.””

I know you’re at a loss. We can stop there.

But yeah thanksgiving caused the cases to ramp up starting six weeks before thanksgiving. You solved the puzzle. Good job.

That's OK. There is an opinion on why it started in October though

I still like how you are saying about mask mandate. When it seems people who were wearing masks before may be still doing so.

Fellas, let's stop all this bickering over masks, which state is doing it better, etc.

Just headbang to this for about 30 minutes. It'll get your endorphins and attitude in the right place, and ward off the virus.
