Nice job. Now that the US has the Fauci lied “smoking gun” what will the politicians do now?

I’m going to guess nothing.

Now what?

Since the dems slobber on his withered old nutsack, you're probably right. Can't hold someone responsible for perjury if you've got his face on your favorite pillow after he's been "the science" for so long.

Come on Man! People lie to Congress all the time. People lie in trials every day. Prosecutions are very rare. That is sad, but unless you have been a crusader on the subject before Fauci opened his mouth, the protestations ring like rank partisanship. There are more important issues in the debate.

I don't expect anyone to tell the truth in Congress, least of all congressmen and women. Getting mad that he perjured himself is missing the forest for the trees. The fact is: It's just one more in a long string of lies he's told. And this one is a fucking whopper.

I care about what role he and his organization had in causing this pandemic and why he still is acting like he has any credibility after telling multiple lies to the American public. I care that he had the hubris to tell anyone criticizing him "if you criticize Tony Fauci, you're criticizing science." He's a fraud and a liar and probably responsible for the research that probably unleashed this on us.

He deserves to live out his days in ignominy or worse.

Yeah unless you were being shouted down by people on here, by the media, by big tech, by government officials, and by Fauci from the beginning, it’s totally ok for Fauci to lie to Congress.

Or as another mod just said: Ok Ok Ok. Fauci lied. So what?

Question for the vaccine mandate crowd: if masks are so effective, why do we need the vaccine? If the vaccine is so effective, why do we need the masks? Imagine risking peoples’ lives for nothing more than political grandstanding. Want to see some REAL hospital system issues? Fire 16% of your work force. Yikes.

Alright, turnabout is fair play. What do you think should happen to him?
I would like to see him removed from his post, but that will do nothing about his mis-statements or poor policy recommendations, which it must be remembered was followed by a GOP president before Mr Biden. Some of us need more patience. In time, when we come to know even more about the virus, and academics and historians analyze the entirety of the pandemic, Doctor Fauci will not fair well. That will mean more to him than anything else. So, it will take time. Big deal. Nothing you can do now will fix the past. But history is forever, and if we learn from it, he will in fact have served the US far better than he has so far.

  • Fired
  • Barred from future federal employment and contracts
  • Forced to pay back all salary and overtime dating back to the point he willfully broke the ban on GOF research
  • Charged with Contempt of Congress
  • Charged with multiple felonies by a federal prosecutor
  • Charged by state or local prosecutors at their discretion
  • Prison time, hopefully
  • And the kicker: That he is deemed to be civilly liable for damages resulting from him making false statements while serving in an official capacity (e.g. stating “no need to wear a mask” without any disclaimer that his views are his own and not the CDC’s, NIH’s, or any ither federal health entity) that may have led to injury or death of a US resident
