More about our jacked up testing situation. Most in the US are running PCR with a cutoff of 37 or 40. A PCR cycle of 40 is 1,000 times more than a cycle of 30. It’s not a secret that the overly sensitive tests are useless for the purposes of isolation and contact tracing, so why is this still going on?

It's long past time to change policy... It's clear to everyone that lockdowns did far more harm than benefit. Notice, nobody jumping in to support them. Obviously, we are still learning... Let's see if Bipartisan support can happen before the election to open things up, while protecting the elderly with conditions. It wouldn't be that difficult. I also don't see it happening.

You could see this coming a mile away. All of the justification for lockdowns talked about projections through August. It built this sense that the disease would be over by autumn to many local political leaders, who used the lockdowns to take time off rather than urgently plan for how to get back to normal.
