A COVID task force? really?

A friend of a friend who is a hairdresser was contacted by the state for violating the non essential business rule, evidently she posted a video on FB of her cutting her 14? year old son's hair at her house, someone turned her in so she was contacted by the state and she let them know it was just her son's hair in and in her house, she was told as she is a licensed cosmetologist while the order is in effect she cannot cut anyone's hair even her families, they then sent her a letter that she posted on FB showing what had happened.

Some of this shit is getting out of hand, of course if people didn't feel the need to post every part of their life on FB it wouldn't have been an issue.

anybody messing around on the JHU dashboard? They have added a case fatality rate tab and a testing tab.

Some states have a much higher case fatality rate than I expected. It sits at around 5.6% for the US, but some eastern seaboard states have case fatality rates in the upper 7%. Michigan is leading the country with almost a 9% case fatality rate (8.9%)

we have almost 1 million cases in the US, with 56K deaths, so roughly a 5.7 case fatality rate across the US.

I think it will be very interesting when (hopefully soon) they start putting the antibody test numbers up there.
We have only tested 5.5 million people for the virus itself to date.


Something else interesting I read, last year (2018-2019 flu season) was one of the longest on record with 61k deaths in the US in 21 weeks. We are almost at exactly 8 weeks since the first reported COVD death in the US.
