Trip,

This is a public forum. Listing what level your security clearance is is not very wise (OPSEC) nor does it really apply here. I suggest you remove that portion of your post. Good luck on the boards! :)

Having a clearance just means that your background has been investigated and is clear. Not really an opsec concern as it is required on any state or government application. Even civilians working in a gov. position require one too. Maybe not TS but a clearance nontheless.

Saying you already have a clearance is one thing; saying what level your clearance is, is another. Also, a government application is not the same as a public forum on the WORLD-WIDE Web. The last time I checked the security clearance of a specific person is treated as UNCLASS//FOUO. Nevertheless, not suitable for a public forum.

Thanks for the help, AT1.

Anyway, good luck to everyone in the August Boards!! :)

Up-date

Alright, so I finished MEPS yesterday, did my PRT and finished filling out paperwork. My scores for the PRT were... 1.5 mile run - 10:02, Curl Ups - 70, Push Ups - 75... I think that that puts me in the Excellent Low/Good High range.

MEPS was quite an experience, there was me, one other officer applicant (Dental) and about 115 enlisted recruits going for the other branches as well as Navy. There was a big difference when I talked to the other officer recruit compared to the enlisted recruits, as what I thought it would be.

Also for anyone who hasn't done MEPS yet, have fun, and remember that you are a perfect anus... you will know what I am talking about when you get to that point in MEPS, and for the UA, if you have cold feet dont worry, it took me three attempts (I was told to go to the water fountain and drink some water then come back in 20 minutes) to piss in that cup.... and it was the happiest I have ever felt after taking a piss. Good luck to everyone, and please keep in touch by re-posting once you find out if you get pro-reqd, and especially if you get a final select.

Yeah, well. The Dude abides.
Lola,

Not necessarily. That is how it worked out for me is where I went to MEPS in the morning then went to my recruiters office to do the PRT. They are two separate things; the PRT does not occur at MEPS, but rather with you recruiter.

Seems like a lot of guys do that. Go and take the PRT after they are finished a MEPS, I never understood why, you're not going to be at your best. I guess its good to get it out of the way but I did mine another time.

...SAT scores...

Yeah my recruiter said the same thing, ACT as well. I didn't NEED both, but he recommended it since they were both pretty good. I called up SAT and asked for my scores and they sent them free of charge, so i'm wondering if I just got lucky or you just got shafted out of 40 bucks. I hope I receive them in time for the October board.. ACT scores set me back 25 bucks, but they arrived in less than a week.

That was exactly what I had in mind, finish MEPS and the PRT then be done. The last thing that I am doing is officer interviews. I had two today and trying to get two for tomorrow.

Yeah, well. The Dude abides.
Just be warned that if you do the PRT right after MEPS that your scores will go down because you will be exhausted. All that matters though is that you pass.
