Not much happening on this page huh? I'm ready, let's get this going and over with. Is it February yet? I called, looks very slim, 8 selects at the most and that includes pilot dropouts. Not looking good!

The goal is 13 for FY16. They have 70ish applicants as of three days ago.

Last board stats...

Average OAR was 52
All selects had AMDO as their #1 choice
All had degrees that were listed on the PA. There was no deviation.
They were all prior enlisted with maintenance expirience.
Interview appraisals matter. All selects had interviewed with O5 or above.

I have more but it's in my email at work. I'll post what I left out in the morning.

13 from 70ish, looks like I need to pray hard. Please post the other criteria that the last board selects had. I can help check off my own list. But how do you know about the prior selects? Are they folks you've known personally? Or do they post their applications once selected?

The community manager provides the stats after each board to the community. This data was provided to me by a AMDO that "screens" applicants looking to get a board at NAVAIR to satisfy the interview requirement.

Brown, if you scroll back through the threads from last year's board, there is a lot of information from those that were selected that posted their stats and whatnot. Great way to gauge where you stand.

What is available to select and what the goal is are 2 different things, they could have a goal of 13 but due to redesignations at or shortly after OCS have billets for 8.

I wrote the community manager a few weeks ago and he informed me that they are trying to have a 50/50 split between prior service and civilians due to prior service guys and gals retiring at the 20 year mark without devoting 20 years of commissioned service. So this is great news for civilians.

I myself am active duty. I have 9 years in currently. My stats are as follows:

Active duty 9 years. I have served in both an F/A-18E squadron and at a FRC. I am currently and instructor. So I definitely have diversity. My commands were:

VFA-105 - 2006 - 2009
FRCMA Site Norfolk - 2010 - 2014
CNATTU Lemoore - 2014 - Present

MA Degree in Management in work. I have currently completed 3 courses out of 12 maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
BS degree in Electronics Engineering Technology - 3.88 GPA.

Last three evaluations: MP 2014, EP 2013, EP 2012.
Sea Senior Sailor of the Year for Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic 2013

PFAs: Excellent 14-2, Excellent 14-1, Outstanding 13-2.

Collaterals: Assistant Security Manager, Divisional Career Counselor, Assistant Command Fitness Leader, ADAMS/AWARE Facilitator

Master Training Specialist (MTS) qualified in 6 months.

(3) appraisals all from O-5's, all 10's with solid write-ups. (2) were from AMDO's, one from CO of an F/A-18E squadron.

OAR 46, AQR 4.

I'm currently not one of those 70 applicants that have submitted. I plan on submitting my package in early December.
