You applying for SNA? What are your stats?.

On the December board thread:
http://www.airwarriors.com/communit...er-board-applicants.41098/page-31#post-763049

My OCS medical screening is scheduled the 5th of Feb so I am not able to even get my packet in until probably mid February. Hope there isn't another SNA board too much later then.

Good luck and ask a lot of questions throughout the process - your recruiter is your friend!

Straight from my recruiter, spoke with him earlier today. He was working to track down FS letters for folks picked up at the last board and that is the latest information from the program manager. I trust my recruiter and don't believe he would pass along incorrect information.
Thank goodness, every time I try ask my recruiter he tells me "no one knows so it does me no good to ask. The boards are rolling" It's crazy that I can find out more here than with him. Keep us updated please.

Just spoke with a friend waiting on USAF board results, he told me he was supposed to find out in December of '13. So at least we know the uncertainty and jitters are systemic to all branches .

That ASTB was no joke. I am not sure what the other one was like because that was my first time taking it. I am wondering now though that because they changed the test to make it harder if they'll not be as leniant on selecting people for OCS.
Josh, even though they may have made the test(s) harder, you came out with fine numbers, so... don't fret over things over which you have no control. Instead devote your available time to polish & improve your package to make it even more competitive. So if submitting in mid-February, with only three weeks left, use your time wisely.:)

Think positive, no time for needless worry (also applies throughout the entire flight training program).;)

So do we have confirmation of a February board? Or was the just rumors? My recruiter hasn't said anything about it and said he was expecting March. Still trying to get the doctors approval to get my MEPS physical, hope it doesn't delay me too long to not make the board.

I have the recommended board schedule from FY13 and FY14 and it says April 14th is the next board. It's not for sure though, yet it has proven to be right for both so far. I got it from the guy who reviews all the OCS packages.

Those were the solid board dates, but after that schedule was posted, they switched to rolling boards. I've been hearing Feb. board as well, then April will most likely be the next baord. But I'm pretty sure Feb. isn't a rumor per my processor. (My recruiter is about to deploy soon so I have stayed in touch with my processor mostly.)

Yes, I am one of the seemingly many who missed the Dec'13 board date by a matter of days..

I'm in that same boat. The LCDR who interviewed me didn't complete my appraisal sheet until two weeks after my interview. Oh well.

So here's the deal -- whenever there is a board, they will have a deadline of which kits to allow to that board. NRC requires the kits typically 10 days or so prior to the board. Since the boards are rolling, they might be using a different timeline - for example, if the board meets on 10 FEB - they might have a cutoff of 27JAN (THIS IS AN EXAMPLE - NOT AN ACTUAL DATE). Or they might be using a number of kits received and anything after that number will not be viewed until the next time. That's the fun of a rolling board -- balance a good application with timing.

Spoke with my recruiter today, he said any claim of boards in February as opposed to March are all rumors. That it still hasn't been determined but he thinks March is more likely.

I apologize for the second post in a row now everyone, but I had a quick question. I did some searching on the forum indicating that a PQ from MEPS is not necessary to submit your application to the board. However, my OR told me that it is required. Is this because I need the LASIK waiver? Just confused about what appears to be conflicting information. I have my physical Tuesday and just want to make sure I get my application in for the next rolling board.

Thanks to anyone who can clear this up for me!

I'm assuming that your trying to go either SNA or SNFO and as far as I know it is required to be PQ'd from MEPS prior to applying. Side note: Everything I've read is that the navy does not accept waivers for LASIK surgery because it has a tendency to not be permanent as PRK.
