JAN/FEB/MAR 2014 Rolling SNA and SNFO Boards

when they have an average number per board selection rates average 50%, sometimes higher sometimes lower, now they have changed how things work, so now a person must be PQ before submission, so things might be a bit different in the future.

when selection had averaged 50% generally you would only see people selected with 7's and higher, in some of the recent boards they have taken nearly everyone.
for SNA and SNFO it is the PFAR and FOFAR, I wouldn't be concerned if I were you.

Okay. I'm almost finished with my OPNAV 1420/1 form for OCS, and I have a few questions that no one at work can seem to answer. On block 18, where do you input the ASTB data? I see the spot for OAR and P/FOFAR, but where does the AQR score go? AQT? Are PDF pages 11, 12, and 13 only for LDO or other type candidates? I am reading through the instruction, and it gives no guidance for those pages. PDF pages 11 and 12 are for high school transcripts and 13 is for ordering your college ones. If you already have the college transcripts attached, do you really need to fill these pages out?

Side note: I have one board set up this week with the CO from a VFA command, and one next week with the Deputy Commodore. Hopefully both of these go smoothly.

I was wondering those exact same things so I hope someone else can help us out. I will try and make some phone calls though when I go back to work Tuesday.

Not at the Enterprise I want to work at...
The only thing I see wrong with your package is that you have only watched Top Gun only 20 times!

SNA requires you to watch at least 40 times ( memorizing every line)
SNFO requires you to watch a at least 30 times ( memorizing only what goose says)

Great stats man and thank you for your service!

If you double the required watching do you get to skip IFS? 'Cause if so just go ahead and punch my ticket for API :D

There is a February 2014 board? I was told April most likely. Either way I am submitting my OCS packet next month. I just took the new form of the ASTB this month so I hope I can get everything done in time to hopefully be apart of the February 2014 board. That ASTB was no joke. I am not sure what the other one was like because that was my first time taking it. I am wondering now though that because they changed the test to make it harder if they'll not be as leniant on selecting people for OCS.

"SNA board likely in the next couple weeks". That sounds like 03 Feb to me..

Where/who is this coming from?

Straight from my recruiter, spoke with him earlier today. He was working to track down FS letters for folks picked up at the last board and that is the latest information from the program manager. I trust my recruiter and don't believe he would pass along incorrect information.

Interesting. I haven't heard anything about it being that soon. Don't think I will make that one then. Have you already applied?

Yes, I am one of the seemingly many who missed the Dec'13 board date by a matter of days..

You applying for SNA? What are your stats? My OCS medical screening is scheduled the 5th of Feb so I am not able to even get my packet in until probably mid February. Hope there isn't another SNA board too much later then.
