Recruiter pulled it off, my medical stuff all got in despite having gone to MEPS on Monday. Put me down for submitted!
You and I have the same scores and some people from the last board in August got in with lower scores than us. One of them I believe was a prior like you and one was a non prior like me so I would be willing to bet we are going to be fine. So long as you don’t have any legal waivers selection rates are quite high.Hello everyone.
After seeing the competition, I’m a bit nervous.
Applying: SNA
OAR: 51
5/7/5
GPA: 2.9
Major: Business Administration
Sex: M
Age: 26
Prior Service: Active Duty USN/E6/8.5 years in.
LOR: O9 (Current Grey Eagle) & E-9 (Fleet Master Chief)
Interviews: O6, O6, O5. All pilots, all active.
I’ve read that the scores are all they look at, if that’s true I may not be in great shape. If it is not true, I’m looking a bit stronger.

Not really formally posted or anything like that but looking at previous boards on here can give you a pretty idea of what the rates have been like. The most common thing I’ve seen on here for people being denied is medical and legal waivers. So without those it should be just playing the waiting game and performing once we make it there! No legal waivers. No medical anomalies. Nothing outstanding whatsoever.
Selection rates are not formally posted anywhere, correct?

Being selected is one thing, finishing your training is another. I wonder if it is easier to get a package together as a non prior rather than having prior service. Do you have a “recruiter” type person to help you with all the paper work and your package and making sure it’s all done correctly? Or is it just up to you? Also you would think more of them would go to college just because it’s getting paid for.The performing part is not a problem. Maybe it is because I am active and have been in almost a decade but even the thought of being selected as a pilot (not to mention Officer in general), is an astronomical feat. It doesn’t happen as often as you would think. Hell, at my current command (4-star staff command), we’ve had 1. One. Only one person get picked up in the last 5-6 years. It’s nuts. Reasoning for that is enlisted do not go to college full time, never get a degree, can’t apply.

Damn that really is not enough. I didn’t realize it was that low :/ all that I had to go through even with a recruiter was pretty hectic so I can only imagine how much that would have sucked! The important thing is that you are at the board. All we can do now is cross our fingers and keep hitting the gym!The amount that is paid for college is $4,500 annually. That is NOT enough.
Nope, no recruiter. I did all of the paperwork, medical, everything all on my own. It was hectic (being that I graduated August 30th.
