Just how intense is Navy OCS nowadays?

Renegade one's story is hilarious. I probably would have broken and laughed.
One other observation..again, VERY dated, but maybe still relevant.

Sometimes you WILL be the recipient of the "up-close and personal/in your face" lecture. I don't know if actual spittle is any longer included… Very occasionally, it may be about you. Suck those up and take the message onboard. More often, it will just be "your turn" to receive the larger lecture/list of discrepancies/whatever message that is actually intended for not just you, but for everyone in your room/the passage-way (AKA the "P-Way")/ or any other candidate within sight or hearing.
...keeping bearing will be a big deal. They'll do some funny shit to try and make you laugh, so that they can then punish you for laughing. It's all about becoming more disciplined. Don't touch your face, don't open your mouth unless you're talking, things like that.
What TB said…sounds weird, I know…but it is what it mostly ever was, I guess.

Shaving my face. Long-haired beardy hippie was very sadface. Also the cold. I have never lived around cold weather. Standing outside the chow hall at 5ish in the morning in Newport's early March chill was a unique experience for me that destroyed my face and hands. Shaving didn't help.

No thread-jack intended…but I never understood why the Navy shut down the NTCs in San Diego and Orlando and collapsed on the single-site at Great Lakes…or why AOCS/OCS left P'Cola for Newport. There may have been Congressional district issues involved… :)

lmbo! good one! so I guess beforehand, you were very noisy...
Don't they give you certain type of medicine to prevent erections? I heard they do that in Marine Basic Training. Me myself is a Marine, during my time in bootcamp, I couldn't focus on anything but to outlast the training. Never had an erection once, not even the "morning wood" like we, men always do. LOL

Good Lord, I hope not. What's the opposite of Viagra?
We were mostly just focused on other things during our training, like surviving RLP and getting through academics. Kind of like when you think of baseball or cold showers, I guess.

the old lady or the HOT blonde with short hair?

there is a hot blonde that comes up in that search, I will have to look again, but yes the old lady, if guys in OCS were to look at a picture of a hot blonde I am sure they would be too tired to do anything.
