if you don't mind me asking. why was he denied last time?

I don't think there was a specific reason given to him, but we think it was due to him not wanting to over fluff his application with LORs and he didn't include any of his awards or training certificates (i.e. Security +). Didn't stand out from the crowd with such a competitive group.

oh.. i'm sorry to hear that. i would assume that all that "fluff" would make a better package wouldn't it? Also, i couldn't help but notice you're in bremerton. How is it there is it nice we are going to be there in jan. next year.

hello all, i am putting together a package, but i JUST started do you think i would have a shot at getting accepted cutting it so close?

I started my package around March last year and I got accepted...deadline is 1 July so as long as you can get a quality package together in time, go for it.

You still have two months. Unless you still haven't taken your SATs, it can be done, just get everything else together while you wait for your scores.

wish i could, but I have been on deployment for a little over two months. i was told they offer it on board but that was a lie. so atleast i will have a year to put my package together and hopefully get another EP and a NAM under my belt.

Just signed up since I have been trolling around here for awhile now. Figured I'd give myself a chance to ask questions or answer when I can.

Been working on my application since Jan and "my" deadline is coming up fast. I have to have mine ready to turn over before this friday (upcoming TAD trip to Vietnam). Always nice to know I'll be "waiting" that much longer till October but at least I have a head start to looking up corrections.

Anyway, Goodluck all and thanks for the people here who provided some much needed reference and knowing I wasn't the only one.

How's your timeline with age? 28 now means you'll probably be close to 29-30 by the time you actually get to school. You'll need a rock solid degree plan to prove that you can commission before 31. I would start working with your prospective universities now to make that happen.

SAT Scores

For those of you who don't know, SAT results can be looked up online at www.collegeboard.com before you get them in the mail. I still haven't received mine in the mail but was able to check it on the website from the exam I took on March 8th at the Navy College Office.
