I wonder why that is. I would think it would benefit the navy and the applicant to know what aircraft they are cleared for before going to OCS.

The odds were so low of finding an issue it probably wasn't worth it, and even then the odds of a person not meeting anthro's for all aircraft is probably extremely remote.

You do your anthros at NAMI not MEPS.

General observation was really short people or really tall people were the ones who got DQed for certain platforms. Only one guy was flat DQed from SNA but was still offered NFO.

This was not a common DQ and not something you all should be worried out. Can’t control your height

MEPS does HT/WT for their records, the first set of anthros used to be done by the recruiters, like you said not a common DQ so not surprised they don't do them anymore.

I’m in the same boat , if I get the opportunity to select jets I’d be ecstatic. I’m also prepared for other pipelines.

BTW , anybody play MSFS 2020 on the Xbox here ?

Used to play FSX and FS2004 but still haven't gotten around to MFS 2020. I do RFS though

So a F18-E has just a pilot and an F18-F has a pilot and a wso. So besides that, what are the other differences between the two?
Is the pilot for the
F18-E just a combo of a wso and pilot? And the F18-F duo just splits the responsibilities?

F's can also be used as trainers with an instructor pilot in the backseat.

Guyton - what squadron are you at right now? I'm an AWR as well. Was at 49 -> 41 -> NAWDC -> Now in EUCOM for RUS / UKR because of this weird qual I've got. I was primarily west coast. You part of the MP Mafia or down in Jax or what? I don't guess we've crossed paths.

I mean MEPS gave me 5’7” but I’ve been this tall since I was 13 and every civilian doc has told me 68 inches.

I’m 6’1 and cleared for all aircraft’s so good chance you’ll be fine

F-models have a bit less gas than the E-models without factoring external tanks. Another variable having a WSO in the back depending on how good they are and how good their chemistry is with the guy in the front. Nice thing about the squadrons that fly the F-models is that there are more people to get non-flying tasks completed.

Easy day. I've only spent a few weeks at Whidbey but I loved it. I've spent some time at the other command in your building. I joined in 11 so maybe a 2-3 years ahead of you... Who were you over at 74 with? We talking Mirth, Reilly, Roman timeframe or Dickerson timeframe? Or even a bit later?
