Not sure if there is an Omega approved lug tape but I’ve used very small rectangles of packing tape, painter tape, masking tape, and electrical tape.

The bracelet on the 3861 was a big reason why I didn’t get that version. Otherwise the 3861 is a great movement!

The new bracelet is quite polarizing. A lot of people love the look; though I've found online that many of those who wear it find it uncomfortable (myself included). I wish Omega would just get back to a style similar to the 1450 president bracelet or the 1171 bracelet. Both of those are elegant and comfortable. Why change something when it works!?

I like the new bracelet, but I barely ever take it off my Komfit mesh.

You can't go wrong with the new JB Champion mesh bracelet for comfort on the Speedmaster. The newly released version is very nice but the original JB bracelet carries just a bit more weight in the mesh that makes it feel a hair more substantial.

Now all you need is the complimenting calendars to really finish off the vintage look and feel.
