Trying to guess what happened for the next graduating class, let alone 6-12 months down the road, was impossible. I had a good friend who started at VT-3 about the time I was in RI's. He OBSESSED about jet drops for a couple months, until we finally got him to believe the advice above: worry about flying, get the best grades you can, and the rest will come. If you can't bear the thought of flying anything without a pointy nose, recheck your priorities.
