Question: Can anybody explain the Navy's policy on sunglasses to me? I know.."conservative style" and all that, but what does that really mean? The reason I ask is because I have a pair that I've owned since before I joined. They're black frame, blue lens Revos. http://www.peepers.com/products/revo-3040-38700.html
I wore them all the way through OCS (on those rare liberty occasions) and primary and advanced with all types of uniforms. Now I'm at the FRS and a couple of days ago our CMC stopped me to lecture me on my shades. First time I've ever had anyone say anything about them. Even the DIs at OCS never gave me crap about them. I know our CMC prides himself on being a "uniform guru" (as he puts it). Is this just a personal preference or what?
