No....I meant "be".

It was a joke.

Convicted? No. Never convicted.

I was joking as well. Seems you made a comment about being bedazzled by election coverage or something like that

Hey I have a quick one. I have a couple cavities. Should I fill these before my flight physical or would it be alright to wait and have the Navy pick up the tab?

A couple of cavities that need to be filled? That sounds like the opening line to a porn flick featuring a dentist with a mustache.

Are they bothering you? Get them filled. If they can wait, then wait. I didn't go to OCS, but I can't imagine having to get a bunch of dental work while you are there would make life any easier for you. It is just another appointment that you have to make followed by having to make up for whatever you missed while at appointment while having to deal with pain and someone screaming in your face.

Yeah, I would probably shell out the bucks to have it done before I got there.

If you require a lot of dental work at OCS it will be a pain in the ass. I had a cavity but also had to get root canal therapy on two teeth. The major pain about this process is that your flight physical is not technically complete until you are cleared by dental. This means if it takes you two months to get dental taken care of (trying to schedule off base appointments while meshing with the class schedule), that's two months wear a possible waiver is sitting around doing nothing. I got my waiver the afternoon before I graduated. If I were you I would get everything taken care of now to avoid any possible hold ups in the future.

I had one filled before I went. I was worried that it might turn into something worse while there. I was in enough pain as it was I didnt want my teeth hurting. Plus, some days chow time was as good as it got. Why impede on that with broken teeth? :)

...but I was just wondering how many you use when you are strapped into the jet for 6+ hours.

Sorry, I have no frame of rerference for 6+ hour flights. 6 hours was the absolute max duration on an H-2 before having to shutdown to grease the tail rotor. Even then it took two refuelings to get to 6 hours because all we got was 2.5 out of a single bag of gas.
