Time to warm up? Like that in the aircraft too? I can't say I've ever seen that. Maybe a simism.

Seems to be a simism. It was still annoying until all involved adjusted habit patterns and stopped messing with the box too much. Now sim instructors will tell new people, OK, this is how you make the new box work. Much less pain.

I think the content of the thread. AW ads seems to lean much more toward that, jokes about your porn habits aside. You get about three instances of the word "gay" before the ad machine seems to think we've all gone towel-snapping and greased-up-volleyball-with-dog-tags-playing. Seen in happen in other threads here as well.

The cookie-based ones seem to be more common on news sites. I bought one shirt online from Brooks Brothers and all of the sudden their ads are EVERYWHERE. It's creepy. Sorry, guys, if I wanted to blow $1000 on a suit, I'd be contacting a bespoke tailor. :icon_tong

The AIC-14, picture courtesy of VetteMuscle, is pretty common. We use it, Hawkeyes use it apparently, and most of our helos use it. The skids used to have some weird looking but similarly functioning ICS/radio controller, the C-6533. I used to work on all of this crap but it's been a few years and I can't remember all of the pieces, and I doubt any of you care any more than I do right now.
