You know a Master's degree is required for EDOs, you would think that they'd throw us a silver bar. But, I am damn proud to be going from chevrons to some butter on khakis!

What about prior service? Is it routine for people with significant 10+ yrs to get commissioned as an Ensign?
Where can I find a copy of the authorization? I tried looking online - no dice.Doesn't matter. On the program authorization, it says everyone selected for EDO will be appointed an Ensign.

Go to page 3 under number 5 (Appointment). Plain and simple.
Thanks - it also specifically says "DCOIC" but my recruiter seemed to think that as a 10yr OSVET/O-4 I could get a waiver. Do you think that's off the table too?
Thanks - yeah - I can see how that would be pertinent. You never said you were prior officer so I assumed enlisted. NRC/NPC will make the determination as to what rank you'll affiliate with.

If they aren't put on the scroll document as a specific rank doesn't it just get sent up as an Ensign.
