From what I've been told, instead of us blending in with the surroundings, the surroundings blend in with us or it makes us look blurry or something. Some study in Canada said there is a 40% less chance of being detected from 200 meters away with digital vs olive drab. I dunno. They don't have digital pattern flight suits, so I'm SOL.

Because the current BLUE uniforms and coveralls are SO high-vis. I don't mean to pick on you, I know you're probably making a joke, but I've heard that as an argument before and it's by far the weakest one out there.

That is really incredible that such a non-natural looking pattern works so well. Logic seems to lean towards leafy looking shapes. Wonder how they made that discovery...probably more of that alien technology left over at Roswell.

Right. But until they start using digital camouflage on naval ships and aircraft (does anyone have a pic of (I believe) the III MAW CG's plane done up in digi?), it's kind of a moot point.
