The quickest accelerating and worst handling bike I ever had was purchased at the NEX at NAVCOMMSTA San Miguel, Philippines in late 1971. For whatever reason, there were only Kawasakis on offer. I still remember what I paid: $759 for a 500cc Mach III two-stroke.

I also owned to one of these, and you're certainly correct about its performance.Working at a Kawasaki dealer I also rode several times the 750cc version , which was the same on steroids. Hair on fire acceleration on peaky two stroke power curve.

Recently fabricated by captain rolex (aka mad dog) for my H-D Street Bob 131’s plate as well as my Honda Monkey’s plate…U.S. Nasal Radiation placard fabricated via iPhone camera, color copier, laminator machine, Velcro, and scissors…

I hear you…I had one of those Gixxers back in the day…a 1988 GSX-R750 Slingshot…bought it new in 1988…rolled around on it for a few years and “got skeert” a few too many times…that bike was waaaay too much bike for me and I ended up selling it to a Navy Aircrewman. He totaled it a day or two after I sold it to him and he almost totaled himself.

At the BOQ at NASNI with my Gixxer circa 1988 or 1989…

Meanwhile…I got to ride my Honda Monkey and my H-D Street Bob 131 before and after today’s Honda demo days…and I stopped by @ChuckMK23’s house on my H-D to show him my new-to-me modern Omega Ed White 321 which is on my left wrist. My vintage Omega Ed White 321 is on my right wrist. Now I have 5 Speedmasters and ChuckMK23 still only has 1…poor ChuckMK23…I feel so bad for him!
