Monster Marine OCS thread: stupid questions answered here!

Zilch

This...is...Caketown!
Well she's gone, maintains however we still need to hang out (as friends) ...

Why the hell do they always want to do that? It seems more likely to happen the worse they were acting toward the end of the relationship..."Can we still hang out as friends?"

They actually mean, "Can I still bitch about my problems and expect you to be there for me except without the fun stuff?" Seems more of an accurate request.

Agreed.

Out of sight, out of mind...I'd go with Bates's advice for Corpus chicks, at least that sounds like the most fun to me. Report back with details. :tongue2_1

i definitely like what i hear about corpus, last time i lived there i was 6months old back when my dad was doing his thing with the Navy (flew H-46's), so i don't have quite the recolection but i definitely have a soft spot for the latinas so i look foward..... anybody on here meet their current wife/gf in p-cola or any of the other stops along the way...or did you discover your significant other prior to training or once stationed...

I met my husband when he was in the RAG. It was nice for both of us because we had been through a series of other relationships and pretty much knew what we wanted/didn't want. He also had gone through most of his training and I had a few years work experience under my belt. It made for an easy transition for both of us.

Don't go looking, and the right one will come along. Just enjoy being single at this point! :)

I ordered my husband from mailordermarines.com I got him at a discounted rate he came with some minor flaws but since he was an overseas shipment I wasn't allowed to return him so he's been here ever since. :)

Met Ex wife in Corpus, while in Primary...

Don't get married until after your first deployment... And then, only if you MUST..

Brett has the best plan going at the moment...

Good luck with everything. I hope whatever comes out of this makes you happy. When my husband left for OCS, I was a wreck, but I would NEVER for one minute tell someone I love to give up a dream because of me. If someone who "loves" you tells you that, then I would question whether or not they truly love you. Don't give up your dreams for anyone. The right woman will stick by your side and tough out the separations. Happy hunting.

My wife was seated next to me on a flight from HOU-CRP when I was returning from X-Mas leave in Primary. We talked the whole flight, had a great time, got together for a date later and the rest is history!
