You can get a NAM for that? Did you tell @mad dog ?Good number of Ensigns or 2nd LTs walking around NASC with nothing but a NAM on their uniforms for teaching boots how to read and count for 8-10 weeks.
That's standard NETC guidance for all training. They push anyone who failed those portions of the ASVAB through a week of indoc and then send them to the class for 2 weeks and they re-test. A second (maybe third cycle IIRC) until the pass. After 3 cycles if they can't pass they're gone.
Definitely a good thing, guessing news like this might be part of the reasonGood news from recruiting: the Army met a higher requirement (61,000) than last year (55,000) - and achieved that elevated number four months earlier.

There is not working due choice or due to no jobs open. There are plenty of jobs available around me that are not being filled. I am seeing as a recruiter many people who believe as a college graduate with no experience they should be making at least 100K no matter what the roles. I and other recruiters I know have roles with very few applicants that don't require a college degree. The exception to what I have said would be IT or anything computer related.Unemployment among people under 25 has skyrocketed to roughly 25%.
The military opened the flood gates by being more generous with psychiatric waivers.

1 in 5 ADHD diagnosis are false positives.Pretty simplistic and lazy argument for what has often been better diagnosis and treatment of a variety things in the last 20 or so years. Yes, I am aware there has been some abuse of the system but it doesn't invalidate the numerous folks who've benefited. I'm glad the military is making some strides in recognizing that reality.

The good news is, these roles are plentiful. They pay well too.As for full time roles that have career growth potential, please point me to the copious amount of Indeed.com ads asking for 18-24 year old workers with a high school diploma and no job experience, because I don't see them
