He bowls overhand.
I personally know several IBEW members who, with overtime, are making over $250K, and have been for several years.
And the average work efficiency for all trades combined in Manhattan is around 35%.
Part of why the the Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island retrofit project and the New World Trade Center were each more than $1B in overruns.
Literally that's the top 0.1% of tradesman.
The most chill HTCS I ever met worked building skyscrapers in NYC before he joined the Navy at ~30. His perspective was always that the Navy never put him at risk of falling 100 stories to his death and he makes more money in a safer environment, an accident he'd witnessed a half dozen times.
I'm very familiar with the NY environment having been from there and having family there. My 32 year old cousin finally can only work 2 jobs to afford his rent.
I personally worked for several people connected to the family and had paid there way for the glorious privilege of being a park supervisor because they only needed to be at work 2 hours a day inbetween doing who knows what.
Hence my heavy emphasis on nepotism and corruption.
YMMV.
My point is let's not turn into boomers and say dumb things like "if only these lazy zoomers would show up to a job site with a hammer and some work ethic, they'd be making bank in the trades." That's not how it works.
