Welcome aboard Horny, good to see more Deuce DNA proliferation. It's a purple world these days anyway, right?

Have fun with the transition - 1.5 years later for me and I still feel like I'm living in a foreign country with only basic language skills. The good news is I seem to finally be making consistent base (vice abeam) calls, bad news is I've yet to actually flare the 38 :eek:- I'll get there eventually. Be interesting to see how you adapt going the other way. Cheers :icon_zbee

Not on the board here (at least that I know of), but VAQ-209 just picked up one of your own - the only U2 pilot flying Prowlers that I've ever heard of! (Word on the street is that he's a good stick and good in the jet.)

Actually, the former hurricane hunter/American Airlines hiree/T-38 IP/U-2 Pilot/now Prowler driver is a great pilot. I'll confirm the rumors.

He should be so lucky! :) I was at a squadron function a month or so ago that Crip attended, but I was too busy drinking to make it over and introduce myself. He's going from the frying pan right into the fire, and should be back in a couple of months with some good "There I was, in the Shit..." stories.

Finally - now he can stop telling the old ones. Maybe these ones will actually meet the 10% truth rule.

In fact, I think I'll call him and see if I can vector him towards this forum. Much more fun to give somebody shit when their paying attention.

If they are Prowler stories and exciting, then they probably don't meet that threshold.
