thats just the SouthEast humidity. Its that way in NC to around Cherry Point. Gotta love it.

I lived in CPNC for 2 years, Oki for 1 year, and most of the rest of my life in deep south Georgia. I got the humidity thing down. Quantico is just some different kind of humidity. Have fun with that Chupa. I have a good friend coming up to join you this week. I think you'll probably be wishing for the heat by the time you leave. I love to complain about hot weather, but I'd have to say that the most hated activity of my life is cold weather training. >120s is the Middle East is nothing compared to <20s anywhere.

It's just Quantico. It's a joke amongst us here that it's the only place in the US we've been where you sweat for absolutely no reason. I thought it was just the Brown Field environment, but I stayed at the Crossroads Inn last weekend, and I was in jeans and a polo and STILL sweating for no reason. Can't wait to live there again :yuck_125:.

I never thought the humidity in Va was bad at all...I was there for over a year...especially in 06 there was only 5 days where we needed the air conditioner on the rest of the days we just had the windows open and we were fine. This year...it has been nice, cool, and very comfortable with a nice breeze going through our home...we hadn't turned on our AC this year though. :/ I'm a Texas girl...so maybe that has something to do with being acclimated to the weather... :/

Hey man, congratulations on graduating TBS! I'm just starting out in Delta Company and am a little daunted by the long road ahead. But FIGMAC, I'll see you in Pensacola in about six months!!

I've never seen more traffic in my life, simply because some poor bastard was changing his tire on the side of the road. You'd have thought there'd be a seven car pile-up. The drivers suck.

VA was bad, but I still have to give the Worst Driver award to the P'cola area. I have never been cut off, near side-swiped, caught behind slow driver in the left lane, etc etc etc ... than I have been in NW FL. NO ONE uses their turn signal. If the speed limit is 45, everyone will go 35, maybe 40. Going across the I-10 bridge, speed limit 40 (arguably way too slow) yet the damn semi-trucks are going 75-80. Nothing makes sense ... its like the Twilight Zone ...

I've been waiting to get that off my chest for a while now. I can't stand this place (training aside). I cannot wait to leave.

Hanging out in K-Vegas.
dudes suck up the temps and other crap. I'm from NJ...its not that far north from Quantico...we have our fair share of 100 degree/90% humidity days. You just do it and move on to more training and try and love it. I'd give my right testicle to be in Quantico with a flight slot. Some of us arent so priveledged to have that option yet, so don't complain bc I'd gladly take your slot if you don't want it...

Hey "dude", when you get to hump 90lbs of gear, flak jacket, sapi plates, rifle, kevlar, etc etc through the Quantico woods for 17 miles you might get a clue what we are talking about. Its not the same as a Saturday on the Jersey shore. You get to earn the right to bitch ... Ill defer to MarineMike to pick up from here.

I don't know...I was stuck in the 28 mile long traffic jam due to a trucker with tomatoes flipping over and the tomatoes catching on fire and melting the roads. They had to bring in road workers to actually repave the roads which caused the humungo backup. It took me 3 hours to travel from exit 143B *garrisonville* to Central Park in Fredericksburg. :icon_rage I give the stupid driver award to that knucklehead.

BUT, then again my friend got a ticket down in P'cola for doing 16mph in a 15mph!!!! He showed me the ticket since I didn't believe him. hahah.. that cracked me up and it was his first day down there...that's gotta suck.

Don't even get me started on the so-called law enforcement down here. I have never seen so many empty cruisers sitting outside of restaurants than I have in Milton.
I will agree with you on the Stafford to Fredricksburg traffic jams ... I sat in a few long ones as well (but none due to burning tomatoes )

Ask me about ninjas!
Milton 'law enforcement'? They even exist? If so, then would someone please explain why in the timespan of 2 weeks, there was a meth lab explosion, a meth lab bust, the leader of an international child porn ring was busted, and a USAF friend of mine had a big sweaty redneck break into her house and attempt to rape her (she beat his ass).

That dump certainly has a disproportionate number of idiots on the road. But the thing that has gotten me lately was that in one week in WA, I saw three separate incidents where cars wouldn't move out of the way of fire trucks. They just stopped where they were and watched the fire truck to go around them.
