It was always pop growing up in Ohio so I had to vote for that. Although now I only call Coke or Pepsi "Coke". Anything else I call by its name.

I'm stationed in MS right now, and I just came from GA. I can tell you without a doubt that anyone who is from north of the Mason Dixon line is a Yankee. Also, to the Amish, a Yankee is anyone who is not Amish. To foreigners, a Yankee is anyone who is from America. I rarely hear Yankee referring specifically to someone from New England.
