Thought this looked interesting. I just pre-ordered the DVD since we don't get PBS here.
PBS is about to feature a 10-episode series on all aspects of life on a carrier. The film crew went on a full deployment aboard USS Nimitz, and shot over 2,000 hrs of film. The series will premiere April 27. Looks like a decent program...
CARRIER, a 10-part series filmed aboard the USS Nimitz, is a character-driven immersion in the high-stakes world of a nuclear aircraft carrier. The programs follow a core group of film participants, from the admiral of the strike group to the fighter pilots to the youngest sailors, as they navigate personal conflicts around their jobs, families, faith, patriotism, love, the rites of passage and the war on terror.

What a boob.
So the most "pungent and affecting" part of the show is where some girl is saying that we barely have any freedom in the United States. Funny, because after she said that I don't think anyone was taking her away to a re-education camp or putting a gun to her head.
