Carrier - A 10 episode PBS Series

Great series (going to order it to watch while deployed). I'm still laughing at the guy who diverted cause the "tanker was moving around too much."

Rear Admiral Daly the strige group commander just got nominated for his third star. I was wondering if anyone else knew any more interesting things of where some of these people are now

I'm pretty sure the CAG is getting a star. I recognized his son when they got back to San Diego. His son is Mid at my school.

Captain Thomas A. Cropper, U.S. Navy, who has been selected to the rank of rear admiral (lower half), is being assigned as deputy commander, U.S. Naval Forces, U.S. Central Command, Manama, Bahrain. Captain Cropper is currently serving as deputy director for Operations and Plans, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, D.C

I know I'm a nobody in the process of applying to OCS, but the entire series just made me even more motivated to get everything squared away to get in front of a board. Even with the rough edges and drama shown throughout, I still think in the back of my head "yeah, I want to do that. It's important, someone has to do it, and I'd love it to be me." I could be an outlier opinion, but I think the series was a good move for the Navy to agree to.

That's just my 2 cents.

One of the staff LTs on the admiral's staff was the OpsO of the ship I was on in ''04. When I saw her, I wondered how smooth the Admiral's staff was. I didn't have high hopes, but I'll leave it at that.

I think he is a contractor in sunny CA., according to the White Pages. I met him in Lemoore a few years ago. Good guy.

Yeah, he's still here. Had a few classes from him about 6 weeks ago.
