BDCP - CAC Question

Hey all,

I was recently told by my recruiter that BDCP selectee's (or collegiate program in general) are no longer issued CAC cards before shipping out, despite the Program Authorization (PA 147, 9E) from February still reflecting such and the COP Program guide stating that collegiate members must bring CAC cards to OCS. Has anyone else heard such news? Is this particularly recent?

Being that you're in an active status in BDCP, you should be entitled to some sort of military ID card, even if it's not a CAC. What else did your recruiter say and have you been selected for BDCP yet?

Yeah I was selected back in May and signed papers in July. Notably I had read the PA a couple times through and figured to ask them about it. When I brought it up he said that they were no longer issuing BDCP Selectees CAC cards because of misuse or something along the lines of people taking advantages of the use of such. I thought it was strange and figured I'd ask if anyone else has had this experience, especially the new BDCP selectees.

Were you given any sort of ID?
