BDCP - CAC Question

I suppose I asked my question the wrong way. With the knowledge that my recruiter actively believes I am not entitled to a CAC card, what is the best way to go about getting one that does not feel like a disrespect to my recruiter? With what @CoMa had mentioned, his personnel specialist had advised him to bring orders, which I’d like to do as well.

Your recruiter is trying to prevent you from obtaining something you rate. Who is disrespecting whom in this scenario? Just get the CAC. You're in the program. Don't think too much about it.

Do I need to bring orders to get my CAC card?

Edit: Would it also be a bad idea to get a CAC card assuming my recruiter told me collegiates don't get CAC cards? I don't want to do something that may sour my relationship to my recruiter

I would ask your recruiter to show the policy or reasoning you can’t get a CAC. Then mention you need it for healthcare, proof of military service, etc. and that you’re not trying to game it for veterans discounts.

In the end, you’re entitled to a CAC and if it’s a local policy, there needs to be sufficient justification.
