I think it was 40 or 45 minutes, but it ends the test once you've done enough questions for the computer to evaluate you (I would think, it just moved me on to reading automatically way before the time expired).
There were also were matrix multiplication question, just to add to the original poster's list of math topics.
Thanks for that info Henry. Did your testing site use that exact Thruster / Joystick? Anyone else have a testing center use the same joystick? Not encouraging anyone to buy anything, but the performance based measures I took yesterday used this equipment:
http://www.amazon.com/Thrustmaster-Cougar-Joystick-Sturmovik-Software/dp/B00006LIO6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1387638192&sr=8-2&keywords=throttle and joystick flightsimulator11
When you get to the part of the test where you have to track the 1d moving plane with the throttle and the 2d moving plane with the joystick, don't stress yourself out if you're not getting close, just try to mimic there movement and don't push either piece of equipment to an extreme. I felt like I wasn't close most of the time but I still managed decent AQR, PFAR and FOFAR scores at the end.

I recently took the new exam and scored a 52 on the OAR. Its not a great score but hopefully it will be good enough to get me into OCS as an Intel or IW officer. Almost all of my math questions were word problems. I didn't get any questions that involved logarithms; maybe I wasn't doing good enough on the math section to be asked those types of problems. About 85 percent of the math problems I got were word problems.
I am taking ASTB the new form in 2 days. I am hoping to do well and will post score results on this site later on. I have been studying the word problems from the old forms. For example: (how long to complete a task together, questions that deal with acid solutions, discount prices, questions involving traveling-average speed, Naval detachment rations, questions about field plowing machines, filling and empty rates of a water tank and so forth.) I was interested if the word problems were similar to the old test form questions or not? Or if you can give any suggestions about the type of word problems, that would be helpful. I am also trying to get into OCS for Intel. Congrats to you by the way.
The question should be to determine if you are familiar with the Aircraft Designation system. NAVEDTRA 14014 Chapter 2 page 17 has all the answers you seek. Suprisingly there are lots of other great Naval Avation gouge in this publication.@ Notorious Nate you stated "Know your Naval designations of aircraft, including before the tri-service designation system. There were two aircraft in that category that it asked questions about. " Did it say the prowler is another name for the EA-6 and ask you specific questionsabout that plane? How was it formatted is really what I am asking. Also did it show you a diagram of an aircraft carrier and ask you to point out specific features?
Any help is appreciated.
