nozzo, would you mind throwing up your stats so we can see what type of competition the rest of us are up against?

PRO-REC INTEL
They start your background and security checks once you are pro rec'd. If you've already done MEPS and the PRT then all that you will be waiting on is your background check before a final select is issued and sent to be signed.
Is the background check pretty straightforward? What kinds of things could disqualify you that the recruiter didn't catch?

From what they told me, Large amounts of debt not related to education or homeownership, history of alcholism, friends in foreign intelligence services, etc etc.
That's rumint though, so if anyone knows better than I...?

you have to fill out the SF-86 form, everything they investigate is listed on that form, you fill it out electronically but there are .pdf copies of it on the web if you want to see what kinds of questions they ask. they ask you pretty much everything, but anything serious that your recruiter didn't ask you about shouldn't be an issue.

if you are going intel or nuke they need to do a top secret check which takes few more months then just a secret clearance (which is what everybody else gets). a top secret check goes back 10 years (i think) and covers pretty much everything, i believe that you'll even be personally interviewed by an investigator.

PRO Rec Intel BDCP
So I just got a call, saying that I got my Pro-Req, for SWO BDCP. Still waiting on Intel and IW though. It's a start though.

Congrats to everyone who got accepted; and to those who didn't, try again, and you will find success.

for all those that haven't already done so, would you mind throwing up your stats so the rest of us can see what it takes (or doesn't) to get a pro-rec?

Yeah, I did all the forms and stuff both online (NASIS) and the SF 86 pdfs. I have also heard the TS/SCI clearance can take a year or so as well. I just wanted to make sure I can get FS without any more hiccups.

Has anyone gotten picked up for SNA yet this month, and if so what were your stats? Guess Pilot was somewhat tight this month from what I have been told. Thanks,

I hope that's not true. I've yet to hear about my pro-rec and people saying that they're FBI are running about interviewing everyone I know..

My OR told me that they just have to receive your clearance paper work and start your preliminary clearance to receive your final select, then a investigator take your case and process your secret clearance. $0.02
