OK here is my dilema: I am 32 years old with a 3.3 GPA in Aerospace Engineering and a minor in Mathematics from ERAU. I took the ASVAB scored a 99 and just now took the ASTB and scored a 68 with all 9's across the board. My recruiter is not the least bit interested in helping and is only telling me that Intel and Crypto are open due to my age, however since my parents are not naturalized citizens (they are from Holland and lived at the same adress for 22 years) I will not qualify for my security clearance. So in essence my recruiter tells me the Navy just really doesn't want me, end of story have a nice day. Now I am not about to take this laying down and am going to fight to get what I want which is to become a Naval Officer. I would appreciate any insight or help from anyone on what I can do, who could I contact to see if I could get an age waiver or something. I realize they are strict and I understand there needs to be rules and guidelines but I just can't give up my dream of serving my country. God bless and good luck to all.
