A month ago they were running stories on the news about how "we haven't had a major commercial plane crash in two years, I hope we haven't jinxed us!!!"
Morons.
Stand by for Miles O'brien's view on what went down tonight.
That is exactly what it is.I didn't know what a Q400 was so I looked it up. For those of you who are clueless like me, it looks kinda like a stretched Dash 8

To add to what HAL has already said, the Dash 8 (DHC-8) was originally designed and produced by deHavilland Canada, who were eventually bought out by the Canadian Bombardier group who has continued to produce updated versions they call the the 'Q Series', for quiet. The Q400 is the latest version of the original Dash 8.
That's a damn good idea, actually. I'd pay to see him take the proverbial cluebat to the first overpaid prima donna reporter who spouts uninformed drivel.I would like to see Sully as the "correspondant" for all air disasters from now on. I am sick of these idiots on TV making shit up.
Doesn't the Q series also have a lot in common with the CRJ series as well?
