PapaK, the IW and IP interviews were a bit easier to arrange because I could go to individual IW and IP officers and ask if they would be willing to conduct an interview. No one declined my request; in fact, everyone was happy to do an interview.
The INTEL interviews need to go through each Navy Intelligence Reserve Region (NIRR). In your case, that's NIRR Midwest. Your recruiter is the point person for arranging your NIRR Officer-in-charge (OIC) and INTEL officer panel interviews.
As for the 20-23SEP10 board, what has been said so far is accurate:
Total applicants for all IDC communities: 262
Selected ("professionally recommended"): 41 INTEL, 10 IW, 5 IP, 2 METOC
Not considered (incomplete/missing items): 7
Packages that were selected had the following general characteristics (I am paraphrasing here):
IW
* Outstanding appraisals
* Excellent LORs including from employer
* Consideration for degree field, educational level, and GPA
* DOD or other government employment with security clearance
* Significant leadership experience
* Strong motivational statement
IP
* Quantifiable leadership/supervisory experience
* Strong educational background
* Technical certifications
* Civic/community involvement
* Strong motivational statement and recommendations
INTEL
* Quantifiable leadership/supervisory experience
* Strong academic background
* 100% confidence rating from NIRR OIC
* Outstanding panel interviews
* Strong motivational statement and recommendations
I may have missed a few things (and LCDR Franco, when you read this, please feel free to correct anything I missed!

). But that should hopefully give an idea of the kinds of things the board is focused on.
