Did you go sign your docs yet?!
Unfortunately, no. Still waiting on my OR to provide me with an officer who can swear me in. Going to try and get in contact with him later today to try and squeeze something in before the holidays.

You can really get this sorted yourself sir. Any officer from any branch of service should suffice. Hell, just go to the VA, might find someone there that can spare you a few minutes...Unfortunately, no. Still waiting on my OR to provide me with an officer who can swear me in. Dude, just drive over to the local or regional recruiting office and get it done. It literally took me 5 minutes when I got sworn in. I just had to make sure the person was there.Unfortunately, no. Swore in yesterday- what's the general timeline from swearing in to being "gained" by the local NOSC?

A few weeks ago I received a "Welcome" email that outlined my new unit along with POCs. FINSEL came later that day which looks pretty official. Did the oath bit and life insurance paperwork. My unit told me to expect to drill in January (provided potential dates too). I guess take some trips, visit some friends and finally or whatever while you have every weekend available to yourself. For those of you who are further along in the process than I...when you received your final selection letter, did the subject line read “WELCOME ABOARD” and outline your new unit and identify the CO/XO?
I received a letter last week, but I am attempting to determine if this is my actual final select letter or something else.
TIA
Thanks for the gouge sir!It will take some time for the paperwork to all be sorted out and ultimately get to your command. I assume as part of your Army Reserve status, you're in DEERS and have a CAC and all that. I assume you'll need to get a new CAC though? If so, make sure to bring your COMDOCs, as it may save you some trouble.
What you could do is call up your local NOSC about every week and ask for the manpower department to check if you've been gained yet. Eventually, you should be emailed by the NOSC that you've been gained and regarding your INDOC weekend, but it's better to be proactive. In fact, they only emailed me because once I was in DEERS, I left a message the next time I called them up (because my NOSC never answers the phone in my experience), telling them it's ENS <Gulpin' Sculpin> asking if he's been gained by the NOSC.
