I remember an Air Force O-1, tell me that he would make more money than an O-1 in any other branch. I may be wrong, but isn't the pay rate the same or does the AF get a little extra. Disclaimer: I'm not in it for the $.

the basic pay for an 0-1 is the same for all services, you can look it up on the pay scale. He probably thinks he is getting more money than 0-1's in other services because of flight pay, but I can't imagine air force flight pay for an 0-1 being signigicantly higher than flight pay for a navy/mc sna 0-1.

Base pay: No...its a DOD thang'
Various pay and compensation for different jobs...depends on what you do.
