15 SEP2025 SNA/SNFO BOARD

Interested me more. Ive been a sailor my whole life, offshore races, college sailing, etc.. spent so much of my life in and around water. Navy just felt right for me, I’m one of those weird people that likes being out at sea away from land. It doesn’t bother me.
Haven’t been at sea or on water much, really wanted to just fly before but then I realized I also very much want to be a sailor and be out at sea sailing the world, there’s just so much out there and I can’t stand being in one place for too long I’d feel stuck. The seas offer so much more freedom than anywhere else I feel like. Also in general interested/fascinated in naval history and its people from the age of sail to WW2 to now.

I love watching random YouTube video essays on literally any topic. It can be about the economics of ski lifts or how air power was crucial to the Pacific theatre lmao.

I feel like they are going to hold it until the government opens up. For budgeting purposes. Maybe. Could be wrong.
Nah I’m sure the decisions were already made long before the shutdown right around when board convened, and it’s just the processing and admin work taking a while; they also released SWO board results a day after the shutdown and NSW board results a day prior.

Just wanted to share. I have this crazy superstition not about watching anything Naval Aviation content related until the results have came through. I am scared if I do, my chances are donzo. And what sucks about this is, I hear the Top Gunners series is actually good.....
Ur not alone though I don’t think it’s a superstition haha just a weird human quirk. I’m waiting for the pro rec Y to watch Down Periscope (not even naval aviation related just the Navy) again lmao, or that one carrier mission in battlefield 3 on YouTube

I unfortunately have only filled my time outside of work with anything Navy/aviation related, oops. The show is pretty good (I'm assuming you're talking about the next gen series on Hulu). I can tell they dramatized some stuff for the sake of entertainment but I learned more about strike and it was nice to see women on the big screen so I enjoyed it. It was cool to see the human side of the students and how they deal with mistakes/set backs
