OCS 11AUG25 IWC BOARD // Nerd Thunderdome 2025

Yeah I am currently a Civilian. The Chief I talked to said I have plenty of time to 'celebrate,' but I just want to double-check that I am fine waiting for my OR to return without the risk of something happening that'll negatively impact my selection. I was just initially worried if something didn't get signed within 7~9 days it'd cause issues. Yeah! I think that's what I am going to try and do. (Getting a plane ticket.)

I was told I won't be doing swear in until I go in for my PRT, but my OR did give me contact info for someone to contact about security paperwork so that might be something they'll have you do. I haven't been sent anything to sign yet as far as acceptance or told I would need to

Yeah my Chief just said I am good to go. I presume that when my OR is back I'll get more clarity on what needs signing. But yeah I was also told that a lot of this will be handled when we're closer to our PRT.

She’s doing OHARP right now till around November if I remember correctly so she’s hoping they’ll contact her by then. Her process was very quick: applied via ISEL, selected a week or two later and was told she’d leave in a month for OCS since they had a spot open up. Her recruiter said they had called him in a panic because they hadn’t screened her first but still sent her anyway (so maybe they just completed it without contacting her but from what I’ve heard here they are very thorough). I’m assuming that’s probably why it hasn’t been done, though, if I had to bet.
TY for the reply

"Based on the information provided in the PSSQ, applicant DOES NOT meet basic security requirements for IWC."
WTF…Is it due to the dual citizenship? If naturalized citizens even from a Five Eyes country are ineligible for IWC, that would mean a lot of 1st gen immigrants are likely facing an uphill battle due to foreign ties. :/

For what it’s worth, my OR asked me three times before we started the process to check if I’m a dual citizen. I told him I had to renounce it when I got naturalized and that I have official government paperwork as evidence.
