Hello, I have an update from my recruiter. Indeed, the board is NOT cancelled. He confused the board which convenes in August with the board which receives its applications in August. The board which receives its applications in August has been limited to reserve officer applications only. I will be applying to the board which receives its applications in September; the board which is convening in August is going ahead as planned. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

I wonder how long it takes from a Command knowing you were selected for OCS to how long it takes for an Official Selection letter is given to your command for your next steps

To be clear reserve and AD boards are 2 separate boards that have zero in common, different quotas, different board members, different qualifications. The one that has the deadline in August in not limited to reserve applications it has only ever been reserve applications.

That GPA with those degrees is something else, if there was anyone who I felt had a really great shot you would be it.

also for officer boards foreign language doesn't come into play, but how am I not surprised you speak 3 languages other than English.

There's someone in the spreadsheet claiming an 80 OAR and 4.0 in CompE/Poly Sci, though it seems they didn't make a post here. It's so impressive I'm suspicious of it being a psyop to dissuade other applicants. 🤣

I worked on the collection side of the house (which I’m afraid is about as specific as I’ll have to leave it). I enjoyed my time in though - great experience, great mission, great people. Almost ended up dropping a warrant packet and reenlisting before the grad school door opened towards the end of my contract (couldn’t turn down the offer the university made though).
