1,001 questions about the ASTB (post your scores & ask your questions here!)

Can anyone who has taken the astb before tell me if the UAV section looks similar to the one on the ASTB prep app? I'm worried about drilling it on the app then the actual one is going to look completely different. Are the flashcards a better option?

Yep!

TBAS Study Pro on Steam also has a virtually identical copy

Great First attempt meets ISEL numbers for SNFO but if you want SNA ISEL numbers then yes, a retake would be needed. From what has been posted your scores are still in the competitive range!
Any idea what I need to do to come up to 7s? I’m wondering if it’s primarily an OAR issue since I only scored a 51.

I am not the best to answer this because I have my final attempt in two weeks and you scored much higher than me. However, from what's posted OAR is typically weighed on heavily by the math and reading. FOFAR is a combo of your Math and PBM from what I remember. I could be wrong but if you search the forum, it shouldn't be too hard to find!

Judging by your high PFAR, improving your OAR is probably the path of least resistance though it's hard to say exactly. The scoring methodology for the ASTB isn't public and only you have a sense of how you did on each subsection. How do you feel you did on the math section (how many questions, how long did it take, their difficulty, etc)? That's usually the easiest test to both indicate how you did and to improve on.

I’m really not sure how I did. Two questions I definitely didn’t know, but I never saw the crazy stuff like logs and matrix multiplying. It was only about 15 questions and I know I had more time. I’m really thinking that was my major shortcoming. Thanks fellas
