Except for the DOD network everything else seemed to be pretty spot on. To me it felt like they actually listened to their military advisors when then wrote the script.

Possibly in the sequel. For those of you who haven't seen it make sure to stick around during the credits for a teaser.

I saw it last night and I am still recovering from the face melting experience. Also I saw it at the Alamo Draft House where right after the movie Robosaurus destroyed two cars. Two face meltings for the price of one.

    The Warrants have arrived

With regard to the age waivers, I believe that these waivers are easily obtained and approved for prior enlisted folks going URL as well as the WO program. We have a couple of guys in STA-21 who are above, or will be above the age and none of them are really worried about getting a flight contract.

    The Warrants have arrived

No you do not need a college degree. You must have an Associates at least. That being said I'm sure there are enough enlisted folks out there with BS/BA degrees that only having and Associates might put you in a poor position for selection. The age requirement for the Warrant program is the...

    Working out with Army ROTC?

I dont think it would be. We have some PLCers at my unit that hang out with us from time to time. Granted we are a Navy/MC unit, but if there isnt an NROTC unit around the next best thing would be Army or AF.

Obviously Webb is making a political move here, and it seems to me that his political move could restrain our ability to provide an effective fighting force when and where its needed.

Return of Turboprops to CAS role?

I was going to bring this up as well. The USAF has been trying to kill the A-10 for years now. The hypothesis that I always heard thrown around was that the brass didnt like it because it wasn't hightech sexy enough for them. They wanted a new plane with lots of tech. But to me the problem...

    ATG Javelin

Im by no means an expert but this is the way I see it: ATG is a private company fielding a product for private consumption. They dont have to go through all of the tests, red tape, and congressional approvals that a military jet has to go through. Drives overall cost down. The ATG is not...

    Getting married during flight school

    How to Ship My Guns

Depends on the state. No one can have a gun past the federal TSA security zone, however in Texas the airport is municipal property and no municipality is allowed to restrict CCW carriers on public land (except court houses, polling places on the day of an election, etc.) So you can carry into...

Thats what I figured... I find it strange though because according to the pay tables here it looks like the Gov would be spending significantly more money for 3 to 6 months in Austin Tx rather than just giving out the BAH. Or am I reading it wrong?

    How to Ship My Guns

The key here is do not have them shipped directly to you. When you go to the FFL in Texas you will have to fill out the yellow form again and have them transfered to you all over again. Just as though you were buying them.

On the one hand I agree with you, she lost a son and regardless of her views on the war or anything else for that matter her loss should not be made light of.
