The 560th FTS (T-38) at Randolph AFB used to have a Navy pilot in their squadron when I was in it. I haven't heard of one there in a while, but maybe the program still exists, although dormant. For the 560th Commanders office, try DSN 487-3412.

The T-38 pilot killed was a U-2 pilot we sent to TPS. He was about halfway through the course. He really was a "mad scientist". Converted his piece-of-crap car to run on vegetable oil. Could build just about anything.
