    Tipsy Gypsy Leather Patches

I want to say I had to charge the wardroom $35 for each piece to cover setup, art, and the patch. That was for 50 of them. I also "expedited" the order so that could've upped things a bit. Certainly no more than $35 each, and once the die is made, you can re-order at any time.

    Tipsy Gypsy Leather Patches

www.flightjacket.com had 50 hand-painted embossed leather patches to me in three weeks on the boat. They were a huge hit. After repeated attempts to contact Gypsy with no reply, I went with them. poc is Shaul Dover.

    the more things change.......

I was referring to the wearing of the leather flight jacket around work spaces in lieu of the uniform green jacket. To me, there is nothing sharper than leather flight jackets properly done.

    the more things change.......

This has been belabored in another thread. I wear my greens every year. I encourage every aviator to do so. Here is the Regs link for prescribable wear, it's actually very affordable since it can be worn with the leather jacket in lieu of the green one. As long as your leather jacket looks...

    Fraud In Veteran's History Project

I said it before in another thread, but you'd better gird up for some real bullshit after OEF/OIF. Even though it's a smaller military and theoretically easier to verify, there's going to be some real douchebags out there claiming all kinds of crap. Look at the media outlets that have seized...

    AW's?

The AW HIPR was here a couple of weeks ago and that's not entirely accurate. If you're a flying AT or mech in P-3's, you've got to switch. Yeah, the plan to assign more subspecialties to the generic AW does dillute the "elite-ness" of the rate. But looking at it philosophically, the typical...

    Grad school in the Navy

There are many ways to achieve this increasingly required milestone. Individual situations, geographic locations, will dictate how you pull it off. I've been going to Grad school on the side for 4 years to avoid NOB's. The more senior you get, the more NOB's hurt you. During your first tour...

    A little advice for .40 S&W's?

I have the S&W 40F and yes, it is different and takes some getting used to. Some complain that the trigger requires far too much pressure. Some also complain that it is inaccurate. I am not a pro, but it shoots quite well at 15' and under. I shoot my 915 9mm more frequently b/c the ammo is...

    P-3 finds a sub

I too recall "bale" being used to describe a variety of bound and packaged narcotic contraband back in my CDOPs/JIATFS days. Strictly speaking as a unit of measurement, a "bale" equates to 500 pounds. Cotton bales come to mind, being the Southern White Trash that I am. I also appreciate your...

Eric Cooper: Navy SEAL, F-14 pilot, POSER Bigamist

My only problem is when humility and self-deprecation affects assertiveness and confidence. It becomes the dominate trait. Confident aviators and douchebags are two seperate things.
