I think theres a difference between your dad's so-called "freaky stuff" and the survival training youll receive at API. Yea, they have simulated crashes like the helo dunk and the problem solver, etc. and that canopy sim, but I have NEVER heard of an exercise where they wait for you to stop...

I have 3 ASTB study books by arco and honestly, I didnt find them very helpful. Maybe the only section that was useful was the spatial apperception. Everything else was a waste of ink and paper. But I did score high enough for pilot. It's ashame I have bad eyes :( Damn genetics.

How long exactly is IFS for nfo's? Days? Wks? Also, how intense is ground school and the exams? I also heard you have to do a couple solos. Anyone wanna enlighten on this?
