I just heard that if you DOR nowadays, the Navy doesnt just cut you loose. You get to do fun-in-the-sun for 6 months over in Iraq, Lebenon, or some other sand-enriched area in the Middle East. Anyone else hear of this madness?

Had API orientation this morning. Current wait for classing up.... SNA w/IFS complete: 2 wks-2 months SNFO w/IFS complete: 2-3 months Or if youre like me.... SNFO w/o IFS: 3-6 months Currently, about 400 in A-pool with 100 who reported onboard this week. SNAs have priority over SNFOs...

Is it recommended to report a day early for API?

Unfortunato no. I got my 1st salute from a 6'6" MM1 whos an OC at the unit. Cool beans. But my GySgt did congratulate me on being lucky Im leaving so I wouldnt have to endure his barking. Talk about tough love :)

Did anyone in Pensacola hear of a possible evacuation of NASP/CF/WF? I leave for NASP On Sun and will probably arrive Mon night or Tues morning. I report Friday so i hope katrina doesnt get too wild :(

I believe the number is unique so I cant be like "Yea, take my FAN." When you see the cingular representative and they print out the paper, it will have your own FAN. Then youre pretty much done. It usually takes 1-2 billing cycles.

Yea, you have to actually go to a Cingular store. You cant get the FAN on the phone. It shows up on the sheet they print out in the store. Heres what happened to me.......... They take your ID (they didnt even copy mine), get your name, the name of a contact in your command (i.e. someone...

And that theyre getting classed up 4 at a time. It makes me wonder how long ill be waiting and what...
