Seriously, This guy massacred 4 Blackwater agents and they're getting all butt-hurt because someone hit him. I think I've had worse happen to me on the playground in 3rd grade and they're going to put the SEALs on trial for this. What a joke and travesty.

Not surprising to me. The AFOQT is a very similar test to the ASTB. Slightly different sections and whatnot, but the Math, Aviation, and Verbal are similar enough. I got 99-Pilot and 94-Nav when I was in AFROTC and it carried over onto the ASTB.

I'm not a Marine yet, but I've got nothing but respect for the Corpsmen and Chaplains. Saw a Medal of Honor show yesterday about nothing but Corpsmen who were awarded it and it gave me a whole other level of respect for those guys.

It's nice to know that other instructors out there actually teach people to fly. My Instructor did the same thing with me. I had a few hours of "upside down" time (in a Citabria) before I even soloed a Cessna. And learning XC planning was a whiz wheel, sectional, and wrist watch. I carry a GPS...

I graduated in May from Clemson and we took all sorts of crap on top of the basic history/poly sci/western civ stuff. We were required to take technical writing, public speaking, Science and Tech (a humanity course), and various others. We actually took so many that it took a lot of time away...

FWIW...this is hearsay so just take it as that. I spoke to my OSO and he didn't think any SNFO->SNA switches were going to be very likely. My friend (prior Sgt, who did the SNFO->SNA switch) just graduated TBS and he seemed to think that anything was possible. Bottom line, I would say sign on...
