Yeah you need one to go on summer cruise. I dont know if they issue the "new" CAC ID's now to nrotc mids or not; everyone I knew in nrotc got the old school ones since we were technically in the reserves, unlike the Academy. Your unit will arrange it, dont worry

I would imagine there's a good amount of staff and cadets who are there to oversee and instruct the incoming freshmen or doolies, if the program hasnt already started

NAS Pcola is pretty nice for a navy course. It's got 27 holes and a 9 hole executive course so it's never really crowded. In the afternoons they had a decent twilight rate. It has a driving range and a putting green too. Out the back gate you have Perdido Bay golf club. I think it was $30 for...

Most ROTC units will usually work out some deal like basket leave. Our class received one day off after graduation to get ready for our moves. Just depends on your front office I guess.

you'll probably have to drive to ME/NH/VT to get some decent skiing in, which could be upwards of a 5 hour drive. If you've got a few days off and a few buds, it might be worth it...In Maine, I recommend Sugarloaf and Sunday River, in NH, Attitash Bear Peak and Bretton Woods, and in VT...

Got down here beginning of June and classed up for ifs three weeks later...generally they assign you to the school closest to your location, but it depends on what schools have openings...also depending on which school you get, you could either be doing ground school at NASC or at the FBO

although i loved my aviation cruise, i wish i had applied for a forex because those seem like a blast. if you know you want to go aviation for sure then i would definitely recommend doing some awesome forex cruise
