I rode a HD XLC 1200 for 2 years in San Diego on my way to work on the CVN at NAS North Island. It was 24 miles one way. Sure helped with traffic as lane splitting is legal in california. I did that very slowly and very carefully...usually only when traffic was stopped.
Drive VERY defensively...
"Kind of along the lines of the first two female tomcat pilots that some felt were rushed through"
I was an FRS instructor in VF-124 when that happened. It was ugly.
Lots of pressure to graduate them, special AOMs, etc....
Saw it very first hand...flew with them...and couldn't do anything...
Gotta be a good stick to do what she's earned. Best of luck to her.
I suspect it won't be long til we have a female Blue Angel.
Personally, I think it's no big deal, male/female if they can fly the machine well. Of course you watch the hoopla surrounding the "First (fill in whatever...
Unfortunately for years as you may remember...if you attrited from flight school you went SWO. Not good image PR for the the whole SWO community. We (aviators) used to joke that no SWO ever failed out of SWOS and became an SNA/SNFO by default. The reverse sadly was not true.
Now aviation...
Because they may not be able to...they may be directing aircraft, instructing a pilot to hold brakes, or part of the catapult launch team. Unfortunately unless relieved thay may not be able to leave their post. As jet on cat 1 may be in tension...

I was stashed at DWEST for 6 months. Saw many rocks come through the program. Most made it with some sub-swim help.
The key I think is the angle of your neck.
If you keep your neck bent with your chin on your chest, you'll most likely do the dead man's float okay.
If you keep your head...
You'd have to also have all the paperwork required to fill out the EPSQ as well. May end up all over the place. I'd recommend doing the EPSQ at home, not in a public location.

Let's see, Aug will be 13 years with my spouse. Still going strong after many deployments.
Nothing wrong with some pre-marital teasing for Ben. Especially as lame as mine.
Actually it's just a matter of time Ben, until.....
Again....Good Luck.
Marriage...Twice the joy, half the...
Treat him like a normal person, easy on overloading the Sirs. That gets obnoixious real quick.
Throw one in every now and then, be respectful, but have fun. It will help you relax.

Simple muscle ache...yes
2nd degree burns over 30% of your body...no.
It all depends...who gives these "pills" and for what ailment?

Good question...try this: http://www.bodyresults.com/E2sidestitches.asp for some good tips.

Speaking of giving blood...I'm O- and used to donate a lot.
Had not done it in a few years and when i went to donate at USNA recently....damn if they didn't want to nearly run an SSBI-PR on me...they seriously wanted every foreign county I ever visited and exact dates going back...get...
I say "Put the lime in the coconut and call me in the morning"...
Seriously, if you think it's bad, see a Dr, before it gets worse...whatever it is. This forum is not the most unbaised (or best) place for medical advice.
cheers,

...because there are no NFOs in the C-2 community, ergo no NFOs in positions of responsibilty in the C-2 community.
In the F-18, for example, or any multi seat aircraft with NFOs and pilots, there often are times when the NFO is the Mission Commander and senior to the pilot. The pilot does...
It's "HIRING"....come on if you're gonna ping on him, at least spell it right! ;)
What's wrong with the USPS???
Here's my local letter carrier out for some R&R. :D
A Cubi Dog mmmm...ranks up there with the infamous..."Cordon Bleu Burger"
I'll take that with a Cubi Nuclear Special...
Now if I was feeling espacially dangerous I'd get Cubi Global Thermal-Nuclear Specials...now that had a good stiff kick.
Then off to get a massage behind the O'Club... :)

Threadjack:
Speaking of hot dogs.... we used to personally ask for the "Hotdog Lady" slides during recce slide shows on cruise...and talked about her in flight, too. :)
Ah yes, the good old days.

Resume commercial plug for one of a zillion internet gun stores...
So be an NFO or get out. Real simple if you ask me. No one wants a whiney "I could have been a pilot" NFO in their command. Step up to the plate and serve, any way you can. NFO is not too shabby if you ask me.
Clearly did not hurt ADM Fallon's (prospective CNO) career...
A couple of stories about cameras in cockpits...
Was just checking into CVW-14 staff in early 95ish when two F-14D had a mid-air at 30K feet.
One jet had what we called a classic "John Wayne" load out...six phoenix (4 on belly, two on wing pylons) and two AIM-9M on the wing stations. Mind you...
Whole deployed you'll pull down BAH and BAS. Mess bill on the CVN is around $160/month. Used to be took 3 years to get sea pay. Now everyone gets it on a graded scale...more senior and more time = more $.
Good stuff here: http://www.npc.navy.mil/CareerInfo/PayAndBenefits

Unique member name...Back in the late 80s, the CO of VF-211 was "BadBob" McCort. Any relation?
I was in VF-114 just down the hall from then in Hangar 3 at NAS Miramar.
